Want an easy handout for essential oil protocols for babies & kids? So do I! I get how overwhelming it can be for parents and new parents alike when they’re little ones are uncomfortable or unwell. What can we do for our little monsters, and how do we go about it? Personally, I want the best of the best for my kids and I’m sure most parents out there do too.
When our kids are in pain, crying, teething, pooping too much or pooping too little, or whatever the case is, you don’t want to be running out to buy painkillers, steroid creams, laxatives or teething gels, just to quickly stop their pain and crying! I certainly don’t! Yes, we want to stop their pain and crying but not at the cost of other health issues due to their side effects. How many people actually read the package inserts for what possible side effects can occur? Not many I believe. What’s more, is their tiny little bodies will be laden with synthetic chemicals which can stay in their systems for years, if not forever. Our bodies aren’t familiar with synthetic chemicals, so it has trouble eliminating them. Anyways, I get when there are emergencies and thats your best option, but why create a daily habit with fake stuff? Then there’s the amazing world of essential oils! 😁
Why Essential Oils?
Not all essential oils are the same. The grades of essential oils vary greatly! So do make sure you use only the best, pure, therapeutic grade only. As these are the only ones safe for babies and pregnant women alike. DoTERRA has the highest standard of oils as their oils come from their natural habitat all around the world and their grade is way way above organic, but is therapeutic grade. Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade in fact. Its rigorous testing is initially done by a third party company to ensure it is not only PURE but also POTENT, which means there are absolutely no fillers, no microorganisms hiding in there but ALSO meets the STRENGTH required, as in it has to have a certain percentage of constituents in it (like Lemon has to have a certain percentage of limonene). DoTERRA tests every litre of oil they receive to ensure the grade meets their standard as well as to ensure there was no contamination during that time. They then test it again after bottling the oils to ensure there was no contamination during the bottling process as well! Quality is very important to DoTERRA as well as for consumers. It definitely makes sense to a mummy like me!
Essential oils have hundreds of uses for the most common ailments! Essential oils are so highly concentrated, you won’t need much to receive the benefits. They’re natural gifts of the earth and our bodies know just what to do with them! The oils can enter our blood stream, through our cell membranes, blood brain barriers to help our bodies on a cellular level, THEN, our bodies will eliminate it. Just as it should! So use a little bit, but use it consistently!
Here’s my Essential Oil Protocols for Babies & Kids:
PDF: Essential Oils for Babies & Kids
I created this 2 page protocols handout for new parents, young kids, older kids and even adults! These are my most common protocols and oils blends that I use for my family on a daily basis. How nice is it to have a handy reference when you’ve got a busy lifestyle? I also intended this to be printed out on paper or cardboard paper with some Touch roll-ons, such as Lavender Touch, Easy Air (Breathe) Touch or Digestzen Touch to give as a gift to friends with newborn babies. Please feel free to use this, give this away and touch other people’s lives.
Recommended Starter Kits for babies & kids is the doTERRA Touch Kit:
It includes the 9 of the most popular oils in a 10ml roll on prediluted with fractionated coconut oil, perfect for children and adults alike! Fractionated coconut oil helps oils absorb into the body better with a slower time release.
This kit includes:
- 10ml roll-ons of: Easy Air (respiratory) blend, Ice Blue (Soothing) blend, Digestzen (digestive) blend, Frankincense, Lavender, Tea Tree, On Guard (protective) blend, Oregano and Peppermint.
- On Guard & Peppermint Beadlets
- Free enrolment membership (usually $35).
