Why Diffuse Oils? Is it just an Air Freshener?
I cannot express the extent of how beneficial it is to diffuse essential oils. Just to name a few reasons, this is why I diffuse oils:
- Air Freshener- Not only does it “freshen” air, it CLEANS the air of harmful airborne pathogens and eliminates odours. This is no normal air freshener. It is NOT made from harmful synthetic chemicals like store bought air fresheners. It does not cause health problems such as allergies or disrupts hormones.
- Enhances and balances mood- These Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils work to help our bodies on a cellular level. So if it is inhaled, or diffused, it will go straight into the brain and lungs.
- Supports the Respiratory System- It would be perfect to have a diffuser next to your bed and diffuse oils that help open and clear your airways. It can help increase your oxygen intake for a more restful sleep.
Is it just a smell? Does it work? People forget how much a “smell” can affect a human body. Does smoking a cigarette or a joint affect our body? Umm yes! What if you’re not smoking but just inhaling second-hand smoke or exhaust fumes? Yes, it will affect your body, but in a BAD way. So sniffing, smelling, snorting, inhaling, whatever term you’d like to use, affects your body and mind.
Here are my favourite oils to diffuse:
- Wake me up with a Can-Do attitude: Citrus Bliss (Invigorating Blend) and Peppermint
- Calm my feelings of stress and anxiety: Serenity Calming Blend (aka Lavender Peace) + Wild Orange or Peace (Reassuring Blend) or Balance (Grounding Blend) or other floral oils.
- Feeling angry and guilty for not being perfect: Forgive (Renewing Blend) or Geranium + Bergamot
- Feeling negative and critical: Lemongrass or Litsea or Purify
- Feeling sad, tired, depressed: Elevation (Joyful Blend), Console (Comforting Blend) or Lemon + Peppermint/Spearmint or Lime + Motivate (Encouraging Blend) or Passion (Inspiring Blend) or Blue Tansy+ Wild Orange
- Feeling overwhelmed, like there’s not enough time, or money or help, lack of abundance: Wild Orange or Citrus Bliss or Motivate (Encouraging Blend) or Balance (Grounding Blend)
